How to Get Involved in Free Culture UK

Whether you have a few moments online or you'd like to coordinate a local group full time, you can make a huge difference by getting involved. There are two, parallel, and complementary ways, to get involved:

Get Involved Online

We coordinate the national network on our mailing list, phone conferences and annual membership meetings:

• fc-uk-discuss for general discussion, which you should join to participate in Free Culture UK online

• read our constitution FreeCultureConstitution

• minutes from face-to-face and phone conferences

There are several ways you can campaign online:

• Sign the 14+14 petition for a more balanced copyright duration

• Contribute to the Public Domain Burn project

• Help develop the remix web sites, see the RemixProject wiki page.

• add your name as a signatory to This Letter to the Guardian

Get Involved Locally

We do a lot of our work through local groups, giving us more contact with people in our local communities. You can participate in your local group or, if there isn't one nearby, start up your own.
