Remix Brighton is a volunteer project, so the more people that give their time, the better the project can become. If you've got a little spare time and you're enthusiastic about what we do, then please get in touch to ed --@-- acrewoods --DOT-- net

developing the project

We have a team of people who work on promoting and developing the project in general. You can help by doing anything from organising major events to spending a couple of hours talking to people you know about remixing. Here's a list of ideas to get you started

  • Talk to artists about the project
  • Organise a gig, exhibition, film viewing, lecture or any other kind of event
  • Publicise the project, e.g. by putting up posters or writing about us
  • Do some press work, e.g. writing press releases and chasing up leads
  • Persuade an organisation like a record label or an artists' group to help us out
  • Become an editor and find the best content to highlight
  • Discuss ways to expand and improve the project in general

If you'd like to get involved in this, you should subscribe to our (low traffic) project mailing list:

join the technical team

If you're a programmer, a graphic designer, a sysadmin or just a general geek, you can lend some of your spare time to make the service that much better. We're interested in people with the following skill areas:

  • Programming (PHP and CMS will be drupal)
  • Web design and maintenence
  • Graphic design
  • Running webcasts (audio and video)
  • Your skills and ideas that we've not thought of yet

If you'd like to get involved in the technical team, first have a look around our wiki. If you like what you see, or think we're missing something, join our mailing list
